Women's Very Short Haircuts Pointers

All the cool pictures of short haircuts for women we are exposed to all the time might have you thinking that you too want the same style for yourself. Am I right?

But are women's very short haircuts right for you?

"Not necessarily," said hair and make up specialist Kelly Nolan. "Despite the fashion it really all depends on the type of face you have. That is, before you pick a hair style for yourself, you need to know the shape of your face first. Doing so may rule out some of the shorter cuts."

Not everyone, explained Nolan, has a clear cut oval face. Or round, square, or heart shaped. In fact most women have faces that contain elements of different face shapes that makes it hard for them to decide which pattern their face follows.

Advised Kelly, "Stand in front of a mirror. Focus on the shape of your face. With a lipstick or eye brow pencil, gently trace the contours of your face on to the mirror. Now look at the result. What shape does that suggest to you?"

If your face appears rounder or square shaped rather than oval, then women's very short haircuts are probably not such a good idea for you.

"Such faces," said Kelly, "will be suited by shoulder length or longer hair styles. If you must go for short hair, make sure it goes no shorter than chin length. Getting some layers cut in at the sides will slim out a round face or reduce the angles on a square face."

If you’re a woman with more of an oval face however, you really are lucky. Women's very short hair cuts will look great on you and you can happily pick out the style you prefer.

For a heart shaped face, go for bangs to create a frame for your face. This will keep whichever one of the women's very short haircuts you select looking chic on you. Flirty too!
