A 45 degree cut may also be referred to as a "stacked" layered look.

It's a tactic you can use for "enhancing" fine hair.

Is this the best haircut for fine hair? Not sure. Some stylists swear fine hair looks thickest and healthiest with a blunt cut. You can also ask for wisped ends which produce a light, airy look.
