Female pattern baldness, or just generally thinning hair in women, is a bigger problem than most realize. Technically it's called "androgenetic alopecia" and affects nearly one out of four females in this country.

Female pattern baldness is characterized by diffuse thinning all over your head. That gets worse with age.

Charlotte should seek out an endocrinologist and a dermatologist to discuss options for female pattern baldness treatment.

It could be nothing more than her hormones are out of whack.

Or she may be put on Rogaine for Women. And given a Vitamin A supplement.

Thinning hair in women can lead to real self esteem issues. So it's often better to start treatment sooner rather than later.
