"I get so many customers coming in asking for cute short bob haircut styles," said salon owner Charlotte Norman. "I don't think most of the stylists have worked on any other style this week as much as they have on the bob."

These days every woman, it seems, wants a bob. They’re all the rage as short haircut styles are in like never before. From high fashion to high schools everyone is intrigued by the style.

Norman doesn't mind. "We've been doing short haircut styles for a long time, including bobs. In the past, if I suggested to a customer that short hair would suit her, she might disagree saying it was too dull, or boyish, or matronly. But now they are simply queueing up for bobs."

Ashlee Wehrie 18, got a tapered bob. Short haircut styles were never her thing but after seeing fave star Katie Holmes with a bob, Ashlee decided to follow suit.

"I love my new look," she said enthusiastically. "Compared to other hairstyles I’ve had I'm getting loads of compliments. And even my mom is pleased with my hair for once!"

Easy care short bob haircut styles just require a little combing to make them stay in place.

"None of the knots and tangling stresses of long or medium length hair," informed Charlotte. "A bob is always going to look sleek and trendy anyway. Right out of the shower even."

For Charlotte the amount of time you put in on grooming your hair makes a big difference to your hair style.

"But most of our customers are students, working women or mothers. They don't have the time to pamper their hair like stars do," she said. "That's why short bob haircut styles are so good, they don't need much attention either."
