At the same time, they want to escape all the hassles of that come with caring for long hair."

"A medium length haircut should be about shoulder length or shorter ideally," said Mareno. "That way it looks stylish and elegant and doesn't develop the problems that long hair is prone to- like tangles."

"Absolutely," smiled Amber. "Get a trim every 8-10 weeks. Taking a half inch off at the ends every now and then is the key to keeping that look fresh."

"Look, if you have thin hair, obviously the kind of medium length haircut you want to be getting is going to be totally different from what someone with thick bushy hair would require. Likewise for curly and straighthaired types."
