"Right now I'm not ready to go for permanent hair straightening. I just want to know how to blow dry my hair straight. "

As Carol can attest maintaining curly hair can be a challenge. But she's onto something when looking at blow drying it straight. And her friend Mary Hart explained what she did.

"Here's all I do," Mary offered. "What you could call straight hair tips for curly hair," she said with a smile!

"First I use conditioning as needed. You don't want to damage your hair in the process. Although this is why the beauty industry came up with so many products for curly hair, I guess."

"Then I towel it dry."

"Next," she continued, "I use the blow dryer to dry my hair until it is just slightly damp."

"Then I take my round brush - using the one with densely packed bristles? It's great for smoothing and straightening curly or wavy hair."

"All you do is grab a section of hair and roll it on the brush. With practice you'll know how much you can work with. Use the brush to pull it out and with low heat blow dry the hair you're holding straight. "

That's a quick lesson how to style hair with round brush too.

Add a bit of hair wax or polish and then complete the look by combing your hair into the style you want.

"That's all there is to it really," Mary said. "In no time you will be ready to go with straight hair!"

Yes maintaining curly hair can be such a pain at times. But this is an easy way to straighten it with a blow dryer. Or what you might call straight talk for the curly haired!
