But Colleen isn't complaining.

"No way, it's really good for business," she laughed sweeping up clippings from around her station in the salon. "Others have a mental idea of what they want and try to describe it as best as they can. Some people however are totally clueless, they don't know anything about it except that they too want an inverted bob. It’s kinda crazy how things go with a new style catches on. Know what I mean?"

On the whole Colleen prefers those who bring pictures along. "Its always nicer when the customer knows exactly what they want. Or they have a photo that conveys what they think they want. Seeing that makes my job a lot easier," she said. "That way I can cut their hair exactly as they have asked for. Otherwise there is always the chance that they might not like the finished look. Although so far I must say that has never happened with my clients. Besides, my salon now has a reputation for turning out as good inverted bob hairstyles as any in our area."
