Annette Holton and her friends discussed the popular women's haircut, the inverted bob style endlessly before getting the cut done themselves.

"We thought it would be cool if we all went and got our hair done at the same time in the same style," shared Annette. "You see, we've been a pretty close knit group of friends since our Junior High days. And we love getting makeovers done together. Sounds crazy I know. But what can I say? So when it came to the inverted bob haircut we were no different - as we all of us loved the style."

"We went through so many pictures of inverted bob haircuts before deciding on the type of hair cut we wanted," continued Annette. "We all picked basically the same look, but some of us had our bangs and layers cut longer or shorter according to the person’s face shape."

Holton and her pals are all equally enthusiastic about their new hair styles though. "I never knew how much time I had to spend doing my hair earlier," said Annette. "Now I'm out of the door in the morning within a few minutes. I mean once I have blow dried my hair and brushed it a little, that's it. The inverted bob haircut just falls into place."

As you might guess, a bob can actually make your neck look longer. If that’s a problem get a tapered cut in the back to soften the long necked look and to make it less pronounced.

"I think the four of us started a style revolution in our hometown," said Annette. "Earlier you hardly saw women with bobs. But now lots of girls are going for the inverted bob haircut. We've gotten so many compliments it's hard to keep track," she added with a laugh.
