Twice a month apply a hot-oil treatment. (The heat makes your hair receptive to conditioning ingredients.) Don't forget to slip on a plastic shower cap when doing your hot oil regimen. Or you can wrap your hair in a towel warmed in the microwave.

Also remember to replace the moisture your hair is constantly losing by using a shampoo and conditioner that contain pro-vitamin and other moisturizing ingredients. Great tip for dried damaged hair care.

Don't over wash your hair. If at all possible only shampoo four times a week. You want to give your scalp's natural oils a chance to accumulate.

Never use a rubber band to hold back your hair. Anything elastic you do use should be coated in some way to protect your hair and keep it from breaking off.

Since water dilutes the deep-cleaning power of your clarifying shampoo, about once a week use it on dry hair.
