Hair Loss? Hair Care Information for the Trichologically Challenged!
Many women consider their long hairstyles to be their crowning glory. Being a California girl, Susan Diedalis was no different. She had worn her jet-black tresses long her entire life. So you can just imagine her panic when she started noticing more and more hair collecting in the shower drain each morning. And you can understand how hair loss and hair care information took on a new importance to Susan.

"I realized we lose about 100 hairs a day. But this was well beyond that. Besides, the quarter sized bald patches were getting harder and harder to hide."
Diedalis admitted, "My sister Sharon was no help."
"Somewhat desperate, I tried everything from questionable treatments as seen on TV to a pricey salon shampoo treatment," Diedalis said. "Nothing worked. Even my stylist at the beauty salon wasn't exactly helpful. But I was certainly embarrassed by my problem."

Finally, she made an appointment at a renowned trichology center near Los Angeles to find a solution to her premature female hair loss!
At the center, Susan underwent a thorough examination of her head, scalp, nails and skin. This included a total blood work up to check her hormone, iron and thyroid levels too.
During her consultation with hair loss specialist Mary Spencer, Susan got a complete over view of female hair loss including why she was experiencing such a dramatic hair loss.
Mary said, "For many women, self image comes down to their face and a perfectly a coifed hairstyle. Problem is they don't watch what they put into their body. For example, some experts attribute increasing hair loss to early usage of birth control pills. Then too you've got excessive blow-drying, high stress jobs and pregnancy - none of which helps with hair loss. And don't forget genetics. As much as seventy percent of thinning hair problems in females can be directly linked to heredity."
"The characteristics of genetic female hair loss for most women typically involve balding around the crown of the head. Which isn't the case here," Spencer went on. "And successful treatment depends on early diagnosis to get to the root of the problem."
Susan asked despondently, "So is there any hope for me?"
"Definitely," replied the specialist. "Your blood report has come in and its showing a pretty low blood count. That's treatable. With a little care we should be able to bring your hair back to its former glory."
Susan was so relieved she actually burst out crying! Poor thing.
If you are suffering hair loss or hair care information has taken on new meaning for you too there's no need to lose hope or suffer in silence. Most often with a little care and medical intervention the problem can be easily taken care of. For many women hair loss is often only temporary and reversible.
