Hair Coloring Advice - What Stylists Aren’t Telling You
Salon Tips On How to Use Professional Hair Coloring Products
Katrina Roche had always wanted long hair with glistening high lights. Problem is she never got around to growing it long enough. When she finally grew her hair the length she wanted she was appalled to see pure white strands mixed with the brunette ones. Oh no. Sounds like time for some first rate hair coloring advice.
|
Somewhat desperately she made an appointment with her local salon for an emergency hair coloring session.
Diana Corelle, the salon’s lead stylist was able to check out Katrina's hair problems. Assessing her hair she calmly reassured Katrina saying,"There's no need to worry. For some people premature graying is a genetic condition. Yet did you know that now we can use the gray to help you look simply gorgeous?"
Upon hearing this, Katrina looked perplexed. Hair color ideas that worked for gray hair like her's? How could this be?

Seeing the expression on Katrina's face, Diana laughed delightedly saying, "Katrina, for hair with the original color we usually have to dye it some to eliminate the original color. But with your grey hairs, any coloring product can be applied to get lovely highlights out of your natural color."
Diana further clarified, "Some women prefer to get their haircoloring and beauty advice from me and then get it done at home at their convenience. You can do the same. Just let me give you a little advice about how to use professional hair coloring products."
“For starters it’s always smart to do what we call a strand test on the hair hidden on the nape of your neck. This way we know for sure how your hair will react to the coloring treatment.”
“Skin tone matters. Say your skin tone is on the dusky side or has a Mediterranean tinge,” Diana went on, “it’s best to go for warm reds and golds.”
It’s also helpful to know that some colors are high maintenance. So if you go red, expect to spend more time maintaining the color as it’s prone to fading.
“Finally,” Diana said, “the right color will work with your skin tone. If you find yourself using more makeup than before coloring, you probably got the wrong hair color.”
After their consult, Katrina was more then happy to put herself in Diana’s capable hands. She really seemed to know what she was talking about. Following her hair coloring advice Katrina walked out several hours later looking like a brand new woman!
