New Hair Color Ideas Take Aim At Boring Hair
Who Knew An Unexpected Source For a New Hair Color Ideas Could Be So Helpful?
When it came to hair color ideas Ruth Simpson was really ready for something different.
|
Ruth, a supervising nurse at the local hospital, had been coloring her hair since the 80s. Given that, she thought it was about time she did something other than a ordinary all-over hair coloring rinse and shampoo at the local salon.
But who could she ask about the best and latest hair color ideas and hair coloring advice?
Then she remembered that her neighbor’s teenage daughter, Maria, had recently dyed her stunning waist-length hair, honey with gold highlights. She looked so lovely; passerby’s just couldn’t keep their eyes off her. Ruth decided who better to ask then a popular teenager who’s already up-to-date on the latest hair trends and ideas.
|
So she popped in for a visit with Maria.
When Ruth approached her, Maria was more than happy to help. She enthused, ”There are so many tips, ideas, and trends of hair coloring available that you could get lost in the choices. Depending on your hairstyle, you can do sunny highlights, peek-a-boo highlights, or even so called ‘train tracks’. These can put as many as four tones in your hair. I know it sounds like a crazy hair color idea but believe me, it’s much more natural looking than a single rinse.”
Maria continued, "Some of my friends get so carried away with it comes to colors however. Like they go with super-chunky green colored highlights, high-contrast colorful highlights, brassy reds as well as daring, colorful, strands of bright cherry, cerulean, and hot pink. But that’s not for me.”
Obviously such a dramatic use of color wouldn’t work for Ruth either. But from talking with Maria here are the three tips Ruth was reminded to keep in mind:
1.Get a layer of highlights under your natural hair. These tend to swing out giving a much more natural look.
2.You can get a relaxing as well as a highlighting done at the same time to get poker-straight locks with glints of peek-a-boo highlights.
3. The more shades you get away from your natural hair color the more maintenance your hair will require.
Ruth was very pleased with the hair color ideas and advice Maria shared. And all the more so when Maria offered to take her to the same stylist who had done her hair. Ruth felt that was possibly the best thing to come out of their time spent together sharing coloring, hairstyles and other hair beauty secrets. Not something you’d expect from a 17 year old now is it?

But just how long DOES it take these products to wash out? Typically you can figure on the color fading over the course of a couple of months at the most.
Of course it depends on how much color your hair strand's cuticle absorbed.
Or how often you wash your hair. Yeah I know obvious huh?

Another swears Suave shampoo and conditioner is murder on temporary hair color. Getting rid of her semi-permanent color like you wouldn't believe. (Not sure what that says about the product exactly, but …)
