Hormones play a role. Both DHT and testosterone. With DHT being directly responsible.

Aging. It's inevitable. One sign of growing old is hair loss.

So the real cause of hairloss in men (and perhaps true for the cause of hairloss in woman too) is actually a combination of three things. Sometimes all you can do is smile and say hair today gone tomorrow.
